Official Launch of North Down Women's Rugby Sponsored By Allianz NI

History was made on a damp night in Newtownards yesterday when, after months of hard work North Down Women’s Rugby was officially launched.

Last July, Allianz Northern Ireland, agreed a sponsorship deal with North Down Women’s Rugby as the official shirt sponsor of the newly formed side.

North Down Women’s Rugby is an amalgamation of players from Ards RFC, Bangor RFC and Donaghadee RFC and will play in the Ulster Rugby Women's Development League. All players will remain members of the respective clubs but will train and play matches as North Down Women’s Rugby.

The newly formed North Down Women’s Rugby is an amalgamation of 3 teams from Ards, Bangor and Donaghdee and seeks to promote women’s Rugby in the North Down and Ards area.
